[1] What is the approximate publication time?
This depends on the manuscript length, availability of reviewers, quality of the author’s revision and the amount of editorial work (language editing, verification of references etc.). The first decision (desk rejection or ‘go-ahead’ to peer review) is usually made within 2–3 working days. If the manuscript proceeds to peer review, it normally takes about two months to publication for articles of up to 20 pages. This time may progressively increase with the manuscript length.
[2] What are your total Publication Charges/fees?
The Israel Journal of Entomology is Diamond Open Access, i.e. neither APCs nor any other fees are involved.
[3] Is your journal listed or/and indexed in/by Scopus/WoS or any other reputable agency?
The current listings of the Israel Journal of Entomology are available on the journal’s home page: https://ij-entomology.online.
[4] Is the journal archived online?
All articles published in the Israel Journal of Entomology are permanently archived in Zenodo (https://zenodo.org/communities/israel_journal_of_entomology)
[5] How many issues do you have per year?
The Israel Journal of Entomology is published continuously, i.e. articles appear online as soon as they are ready.
[6] We have a manuscript titled “Om 'n lang ensiem kort te maak” ready for submission to the Israel Journal of Entomology. Would it suit the journal’s scope?
No assessment of suitability may be done without seeing the entire manuscript. Prior to submission, please kindly ensure that your manuscript fits the scope of the journal and is methodologically robust. Please also note that all submissions must be in English (BE or AE), but an additional abstract in virtually any other written language may be included.
